🕛 End Time: 9:00 PM

Coverage Total: 5 Hours 30 Minutes

Notes / Instructions:

  • Film footage in 4K entirely, if possible

  • Frame Rate: at least 60fps for all footage (A-roll and B-Roll) if possible

    • Reminder to adjust your shutter speed (1/120 or 1/125 when shooting 60fps, etc) to avoid choppy clips when slowed down

  • Profile Preference: Log Footage

  • Record pristine audio throughout the wedding. Ensure consistent volume levels and exceptional dialogue intelligibility.

    • Make sure nothing will obstruct the quality of the recording. (ex. windy outdoor conditions)

  • Achieve captivating cinematic fluidity with seamless, shake-free, stabilized shots with the use of a gimbal (or similar).

    • Utilize movement such as arc shots, push-in/push-out, tracking, etc

  • Plan commute accordingly (travel times/duration, traffic density, weather conditions, etc).

    • Confirm you have the accurate location. If using GPS, type in the name of the venue with the city and verify it's the right place, avoiding the possibility of incorrect directions or destination.

  • Call the on-site contact(s) upon first arrival, stating that you're the videographer from Pluvia Studios. Make sure you are guided to the first shooting location on time to set up and start filming.

  • Ensure continuous video recording of entire sub-events with no gaps. (ex. Ceremony, First Dances, Speeches, etc)

    • Have at least the A camera always on the subject(s) while the B camera is shifting in between detailed shots.

    • Be aware that clients often order the full unedited versions of these segments.

  • Make sure both parties (photographer and videographer) have a clear shot at all times

    • Do not block each other's camera view.

    • Ensure you're not standing in or significantly blocking multicamera video set-up.

      • Set up stationary camera in a position that guests are unlikely to accidently obstruct view (stand in or sit in front of) or knock it over. Also keep sturdy in case of strong outdoor winds.

  • Watch your ISO levels

    • Don't shoot too dark (especially indoors)

    • Don't shoot too bright (especially outdoors)

  • Clean surfaces of objects before shooting (ex. dust, smudges, dirt)

    • Make sure your lenses are also clean at all times.

  • Watch out for your shadows and reflections (ex. mirrors) in the shots

  • Direct and capture movement shots of the couple & guests for video (outside the posed shots for photographer)

  • Keep in mind that the schedule is subject to change at any point. Be prepared for anything.

    • Wedding formalities may not always be on time (off-schedule).

    • Planned events or activities may spontaneously occur out of order.

    • There's always a possibility of untold surprises from the couple, bridal party, and/or guests (ex. unexpected speeches or performances).

  • Prioritize high quality work but also have fun! Enjoy and contribute positive energy to the couple, guests and staff!

    • Incorporate fun prompts or activities during the shoot to draw out genuine emotions and unexpected moments for varied, unique, and entertaining shots.
