“We met on match.com. Serendipity is how we met. A crazy patient of mine told me he had met his wife in 2002 on match.com and she was the best thing he ever found. He told me to go online and find me one. I went back on match.com that very night. A few days later Jeano found my profile. Which he should’ve never seen because match.com does not match over 250 miles. We were 2200 miles away. We will know each other almost 2 years this coming Thanksgiving. He is my best friend, we have many inside jokes, “diddly damn” is one of our sayings. Our cherished travel adventure was our weeklong cruise to Mexico, at which time we were both sick with the norovirus. That’s when I knew he was my one, diarrhea and vomiting couldn’t keep me away from him. And vice versa. It took us a very long time to find one another. We just wanna cherish every moment and build a happy life together.”

Notes / Instructions:

 

  • Shoot in RAW (full resolution), not JPG

     

  • Feel free to overshoot! The more to cull, the better!

     

  • Plan commute accordingly (travel times/duration, traffic density, weather conditions, etc).

    • Confirm you have the accurate location. If using GPS, type in the name of the venue with the city and verify it's the right place, avoiding the possibility of incorrect directions or destination.

     

  • Call the on-site contact(s) upon first arrival, stating that you're the photographer from Pluvia Studios. Make sure you are guided to the first shooting location on time to set up and start taking photos.

 

  • Alongside traditional poses, incorporate fun prompts or activities during the shoot to draw out genuine emotions and unexpected moments for varied, unique, and entertaining shots.

 

  • Get a variety of closeups and wide shots.

 

  • Focus on horizontal shots, especially for couple's portraits. Mix in some vertical shots, but prioritize shooting in landscape for more cropping flexibility during editing.

 

  • Watch your ISO levels

    • Don't shoot too dark (especially indoors)

    • Don't shoot too bright (especially outdoors)

       

  • Clean surfaces of objects before shooting (ex. dust, smudges, dirt)

    • Make sure your lenses are also clean at all times.

 

  • Watch out for your shadows and reflections (ex. mirrors) in the shots

 

  • Prioritize high quality work but also have fun! Enjoy and contribute positive energy to the couple, guests and staff!
